Check-In is after 3:00pm all locations Check Out 11:00am.

There is a 72 hour cancellation policy on the motel rooms and lodges. Starting Sept.1, 2010 there will be a half non-refundable deposit required on the day you make reservation for all lodges and cabins  There will be a 5% processing fee added to all credit card charges after Sept 1, 2010.

Mark and Lisa Carawan invite you to stay in one of their comfortable cabins near Lake Mattamuskeet in eastern North Carolina's Hyde County. Families from all over the United States have stayed at a Carawan's cabin for more than 60 years. They've come to enjoy the wildlife, fish for largemouth bass, trout, flounder or red drum or hunt black bear during the season.

Carawan's Motel and cabins are for nature lovers. Of course, we have our share of "critters" as this is nature at its best. Bring your mosquito spray if you plan on any prolonged outdoor activities. Remember, they were here first! Sorry, no "creature-related" refunds.
